NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

COUNTY OF STEUBEN

Proposed Local Law To Extend the Moratorium with Respect To Industrial Solar Energy
Facilities and Battery Energy Storage Facilities and/or Processing of Applications within the
Town of Prattsburgh for a Period of Nine (9) Months.
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing by the Town Board of the Town of
Prattsburgh, County of Steuben, State of New York, will be held at the Town Hall, 19 North
Main Street, Prattsburgh, New York, 14873 on the 21st day of April, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. upon the
proposed Local Law.
The effect will be to extend the moratorium on Industrial Solar Energy Facilities and
Battery Energy Storage Facilities and/or Processing of Applications with Respect Thereto Within
the Town of Prattsburgh for a Period of Nine (9) Months.
The Town Hall is in compliance with accessibility standards of the Americans With
Disabilities Act. Any person with a handicap wishing to attend and/or be heard at the public
hearing should contact the Town Clerk’s Office (607) 522-3761 at least three (3) business days
prior to the date of the public hearing to request any special needs.
All persons interested in this proposed Local Law will be heard by the Town Board at the Public
Hearing to be held as stated above. A copy of the proposed Local Law may be examined at the
Town Clerk’s Office at 19 North Main Street, Prattsburgh, NY, during regular business hours.
Written comments may be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office by US mail at 19 North Main
Street, Prattsburgh, NY 14873. Comments must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on
April 21, 2025.

Notice of Adoption of Resolution, Subject to Permissive Referendum, Providing That the
Town Expend Reserve Funds For the Purchase of a Highway Wheeled Excavator
Notice is Hereby Given that the Town Board of the Town of Prattsburgh, County
of Steuben, State of New York at a duly scheduled meeting thereof held on the 17th day
of March, 2025, duly adopted a resolution providing that the Town Supervisor is
authorized to expend monies from the “Highway Equipment” reserve fund for the
acquisition of a wheeled excavator, in the maximum amount of $220,000.00.
This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the applicable provisions of the General
Municipal Law of the State of New York and is subject to permissive referendum as that
process is prescribed pursuant to Article 7 of the Town Law.
