PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF PRATTSBURGH

Proposed Local Law to authorize a real property tax levy in excess of the limit established by
General Municipal Law (GML) §3-c.
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing by the Town Board of the Town of
Prattsburgh, County of Steuben, State of New York, will be held at the Town Hall, 19 North
Main Street, Prattsburgh, New York, on the 20th day of October, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. upon the
proposed Local Law to authorize a real property tax levy in excess of the limit established by
General Municipal Law (GML) §3-c. for the fiscal year 2026.
The effect will be to exempt the Town of Prattsburgh from the so called “tax cap”, but
not necessarily result in any tax increase.

The Town Hall is in compliance with accessibility standards of the Americans
With Disabilities Act. Any person with a handicap wishing to attend and/or be heard at the
public hearing should contact the Town Clerk’s Office (607 522 3761) at least three (3) business
days prior to the date of the public hearing to request any special needs.
All persons interested in this proposed Local Law will be heard by the Town Board at the
Public Hearing to be held as stated above. Copies of the proposed Local Law are available at the
Office of the Clerk of the Town of Prattsburgh, 19 North Main Street, Prattsburgh, NY 14512
during regular business hours.

NOTICE PRATTSBURGH RESIDENTS
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD

The Town Board of the Town of Prattsburgh has scheduled a
special meeting to be held on Monday October 27 th , 2025 at 6:00
P.M. at the Prattsburgh Town Hall located at 19 North Main
Street in Prattsburgh. The purpose of the meeting is to present
2026 preliminary budget to be adopted as the final 2026 budget
and any other business that comes before the board.

TOWN OF PRATTSBURGH
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Town of Prattsburgh seeks qualified candidates for a position with the Town’s
Highway Department. A Class B operator’s license is recommended and be within twenty (20)
minutes travel time to the Town Highway Department in the Hamlet of Prattsburgh. Candidates
will be required to take a pre hire drug test and employees are subject to random drug testing.
The Highway Department is a union shop, however, membership is not required.
Applications may be obtained from and should be submitted, along with a resume, to the
Prattsburgh Town Clerk, at 19 North Main Street, Prattsburgh, NY 14873 on or before August 8 th
2025.
